21 Day Fast – Day 21 of 21

TREASURE #21- As a child of God, I have been given: A Testimony to Share with the World… “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” -1 Peter 3:15 Thought: Back when I was in kindergarten, my teacher would invite one person each week to stand in front of the class to show and tell about something that was special to him.  I had been waiting for weeks to show what was so special to me, until finally, it was my turn.  I still remember that morning, waking up early to prepare for my show and tell.  After all, my big brown teddy bear, which was so special to me, was going to outdo every other person who had gone up before me.  It is still clear in my mind, the feelings of excitement I had to show off my furry friend.  “Mom, I need a big plastic bag to keep Teddy in!”  I searched underneath the sink where the plastic bags were kept, and found one that was big enough for him to fit in.  Carefully, I began to lower Teddy into the bag, when tragically I noticed a small tear in his lower back.  I was crushed when I saw that the styrofoam filling was leaking out, and slowly starting to deflate his once plump body.  “Oh no!  Mom, what am I going to do?”  My mom looked at him and assessed that it was a slow leak, and he would be able to make it to school in decent shape.  She reassured... read more

21 Day Fast – Day 20 of 21

TREASURE #20- As a child of God, I have been given:   The Power to Preach the Word of God…          “I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.
